Edward M. Schoenman
Edward M. Schoenman is a 1973 graduate, summa cum laude, of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1977. At Hofstra, he was appointed to the Law Review and received the outstanding achievement awards in property and constitutional law.
After graduation, Mr. Schoenman was appointed Assistant District Attorney in New York County by Robert M. Morgenthau. During his six years with the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Schoenman was responsible for the investigation and trial of homicides and other major felony cases.
At Peltz & Walker, Mr. Schoenman represents various defendants, including physicians, hospitals and private companies. Along with Mr. Walker, Mr. Schoenman is the attorney in charge of the work done for the Hospital for Special Surgery, the premier orthopedic hospital in New York City.
By doing this work, Mr. Schoenman has obtained a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the field of orthopedic surgery. Mr. Schoenman has been a lecturer at Hofstra Law School’s Program on Advanced Trial Advocacy. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Court for the Sourthern District of New York.
