Hospital Fired Me for Misconduct

If your hospital brings a case against you, a claim that you are incompetent or have done something else that requires them to fire you, this will not be good for you. You will be reported to the Department of Health if you’re a physician, and the Department of Education, if you are another healthcare provider. This will almost always result in a request by OPMC or OPD for you to come down and explain yourself. That then might turn to a charge against you of unprofessional conduct relating to the reason you were fired, and that could lead to a hearing, and that could lead to a possible revocation of your license. You really have to pay attention when the hospital first brings the claim against you, and try to prevent them from firing you. This can go on to a very serious problem, and one you need to address right at the beginning.
