If you’re going to attempt to have your license restored after it’s been revoked, bear in mind, this is a long, arduous process. The state wants to be assured that whatever problem that caused the revocation has been cured and that it will never happen again. To convince them of this, you have to bring witnesses to testify on your behalf. You have to show that you are remorseful for your prior conduct and show that you have kept up to date on medical issues so that you are qualified as a medical professional, even though you have been out of practice for three, four, or five years.

You also have to have people who will come and testify on your behalf. They have to be medical professionals, for the most part. They have to say that they knew you before, they know you now, and they know why you lost your license, and they know, in their opinion, that you have cured the problem, and you are fit, again, to become a licensed medical professional. This is a long process and a difficult one. It is also one you need a lot of professional help to try to get your best foot forward and get your license back.
