The firm represents hospitals and physicians from all specialties in actions involving allegations of medical malpractice. We also represent dentists, podiatrists and many other kinds of health care professionals, including physicians’ assistants, nurses and physical therapists.
A substantial part of Walker Medical Law’s practice is the defense of medical malpractice cases against hospitals and physicians.
As counsel for the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and as specialty counsel in orthopedics for the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation, we are recognized for our expertise in defending medical malpractice cases in all areas of orthopedic surgery.
We also have extensive experience defending hospitals and physicians in other specialized areas of medicine including neurosurgery, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, interventional and diagnostic radiology, anesthesiology, pathology, dermatology, ophthalmology, obstetrics & gynecology, oncology, rheumatology and internal medicine.
We represent medical doctors, doctors of osteopathy, dentists, dental surgeons, podiatrists, chiropractors, and other health care providers, including physicians’ assistants, nurses, physical therapists, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities and adult homes.
We also represent physicians who are insured by Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company and Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers | PRI. From these two insurance companies, we are retained on a regular basis to represent doctors in all types of medical specialties. Additionally, these companies assign the representation of hospitals to the firm when the hospital is included as a defendant in the litigation.
